Thursday 14th March 2019, 9am to 5pm

MEA House, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 8XS

This is a free conference for anyone who wants to be involved in shaping the future of Social Prescribing in the North East.  It is aimed at representatives from clinical commissioning groups, voluntary organisations, local authorities including social care and public health, general practitioners, academics, community groups, and community organisers.

The event and workshops will be participative, will help to build the case for social prescribing regionally and share emerging best practice and learning.  The day will provide opportunities to learn about the latest national and local impact evidence, to consider the spectrum of models available and to think together about how we can mainstream social prescribing in a sustainable way.  Participants will hear about:

  • The different models of social prescribing and how they work
  • Regional and national good practice and generate new ideas
  • Guidance on how to commission social prescribing projects
